I hope you've been well-- life proceeds over here, damn the torpedoes.
Since it seems we're not to be afforded the dignity of taking much for granted anymore these days, I figured I'd reach out and say hello, you're really my only open line of connection to anything pre-2006, excepting also with Jason Gullickson.
Been thinking about Nadz, maybe because I know I live a time in Puerto Rico working at a high for a US pharma provider. Or maybe I was reflecting on OTAKON in context back during those first ten years. Any word on how and what Nadz has been doing? :)
Oh, tangentially, I've been watching some (new to me) anime as this summer has lately wound down; someone dragged me willingly into watching 'Kill La Kill' (2014, Studio Trigger), which was interesting allegory and seemed totally worthwhile. Then I stumbled across 'Made in Abyss' (Jul-Sept. 2017, Kinema Citrus), and this one is shockingly visionary, stunning, darkness with heart. It's got my total endorsement; it was awesome, touching, and profound. This has got to be one of the best anime TV series of 2017 and, hell, even all time.
Last time I checked, Nadz was living in a suburb of Philadelphia, but I haven't talked to him in years.
I think someone mentioned Made in Abyss recently, but I've not been keeping up on shows not airing on Crunchyroll, so I have no idea what it's about.
I'm writing pony fanfic these days. Actually working on a new chapter for this Beauty and the Beast comedic romance thing, with a pair of villains from the show in the title roles.
I'm digging the fanfic, it seems an extension of ideas and themes introduced by the canon series and extended in this strange cultural moment. Well, fwiw, here's a recent commission of my online persona-character: https://dl1.getuploader.com/g/yorozumarucomi/213/comirahu91.png somewhere out there in the Internet-diffused fandoms, for reasons that make perfect sense in their own context. Back in the day, I just couldn't quite get both of my feet off the ground in the fandom, but i sort of am just barely young enough to still finally get swept away in the best possible ways.

Send me your email, and I can relay Nadz's Otakon email address, Bill passed it along.
Nadz and family are apparently living in Ohio, btw.
Do give Bill my very best and fondest regards, I miss his humor just remembering it.
