Here's an example: Ajemi's article is cited by half of my daily reading list today: Roger L. Simon, Porphyrogenitus, and LLittle Green Footballs. At its worst, this results in an echo chamber. At its best, it creates a self-reinforcing phatic chorus that can counterattack media assaults that weaken the consensus necessary for the address of tough questions.
